Enchanted garden

The Wishing Fairy Queen has moved to the village and brought her fairies with her, so this year, for the first time we have an enchanted garden taking part in the garden trail!

Children and adults alike will find this enchanting garden magical. If you visit the garden trail this year, you never know – you may be able to have your picture taken with a fairy!

There will be games and the children will be able to make a wish on the wishing tree.

Childrens competition

The Wishing Fairy will be crowning someone as a VIF (very important fairy). For a chance to win this prestigious title, submit your best drawing as yourself as a fairy. Be as creative as you like, think about what your fairy name would be, what magical power you would have, will you have wings and what would they look like?

Bring your entry to the Enchanted Garden on Sat 30th or Sun 31st July. Please write your guardians contact details on the back of your entry, so we can get in touch if you win!

The Wishing Fairy has selected the winner, find out who won and look at all of the amazing drawings here.

Frequently asked questions

So, how does the garden trail work?

When you arrive, you’ll be given a map which shows all of the gardens you can visit on the trail.  You can then visit the gardens, following the map, in any order you like, in your own time. The map will also show you places where you can stop for refreshments, or for a picnic.

Can I buy tickets in advance?

No need to buy tickets in advance, just turn up on the day.

Where do I park?

Parking will be provided, locally in the village.  Follow the signs once you arrive in the village. Postcode for parking is S80 3JP.

What if I need a mobility scooter?

There will be a limited number of mobility scooters provided, free of charge, on a first come, first served basis.

Will there be refreshments?

Yes, definitely.  There’s a cafe serving a range of hot and cold drinks, cake and meals. A takeaway where you can get dinks and cake and the church will be offering cream teas.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, well behaved dogs on a lead are very welcome. At times there may be one or two gardens which don’t allow dogs, as they have cats.
